Regional Mexican music is in mourning due to the recent death of a member of a band in the genre. On May 1st, the death of Ramón Eduardo Zárate, a 24-year-old young man, was announced, who had previously been reported missing on April 29 in Ciudad Obregón, Sonora. Social media was filled with support messages from his family, only asking for the return of the body without seeking conflict: 'The family does not want problems, they just want to know where he is. If you have achieved your goal, please just return him,' expressed the singer's sister with fear of the inevitable.
Unfortunately, the family's suspicions were confirmed when the lifeless body of Ramón Eduardo was found in a clandestine grave, according to reports from local media. It was revealed that the singer had been kidnapped on April 28 in the Real del Bosque neighborhood, although the reasons behind this crime have not yet been clarified. Grupo La Estrella, to which the musician belonged, communicated the tragic news through their social media, extending their condolences to the family and colleagues: 'The members of Grupo La Estrella extend our condolences to the family of our great friend Ramón Eduardo Zárate, as well as to our colleagues from Grupo La Nueva Era, a strong hug,' they expressed, without going into more details about what happened.
The tragic news was reported thanks to the Colectivo Rastreadoras de Ciudad Obregón, who received the report of a semi-buried body and proceeded with the identification. Ramón Eduardo Zárate was recognized in the regional Mexican music scene, and his death has shocked the industry. Hours and hours of uncertainty about his whereabouts ended with a lamentable outcome, leaving a void in the musical community and in the hearts of those who knew him.
